“Snow Day” not intended to encourage cocaine use

As you may have heard, blizzard conditions up and down the northeastern corridor of the United States have closed many of our offices for a Snow Day. “Snow” and “skiing” are occasionally internet shorthand for “cocaine” and “doing cocaine,” but this is not such an instance.

If a colleague says, “I’m going skiing,” it’s likely he’s planning to enjoy the cross-country or downhill version of the popular winter sport. If the same colleague says, “I’m going skiing, in Colombia,” while winking and tapping his nose, he’s undoubtedly referencing cocaine.

Just so there is no confusion: Our offices are closed today, not hosting or encouraging cocaine-fueled celebrations. There’s no hope in dope, except the ever present hope for additional dope.

Please be advised that the Attention!Employees newsletter will be on holiday for the remainder of the week, returning in the new year on Monday, January 3.
